HR 218/Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) Qualification

H.R. 218, the "Law Enforcement Officers' Safety Act" protects your right to carry a concealed weapon in the USA as a retired law enforcement officer. It is a powerful piece of legislation, but not without restrictions, limitations, and qualifications to be met.

The Arthur Kill Sports H.R. 218 course is conducted by a New York State Certified Firearm Instructor who is authorized to train active police officers, and issues laminated photo credentials that satisfy the requirements of the law and include a 24/7 credential verification hotline. It includes a firearm inspection & instruction on the limitations on protection against prosecution for possession of a handgun in a state where a retired law enforcement officer is not licensed. Students will learn exactly what is covered and what is NOT covered by the H.R. 218 L.E.O.S.A. protection.
